The North Texas Fair and Rodeo is known throughout the Southwest as a leader in PRCA rodeo and entertainment venues, attracting crowds of all ages from hundreds of miles around. The attendance has consistently grown over the years as the NT Fair and Rodeo adds to the growing list of attractions including family entertainment, a premier midway, livestock competition and exhibition displays. Executive Director Carlton expects crowds to exceed 160,000 this year.
The North Texas Fair and Rodeo has a great entertainment lineup for the 87th annual event August 21-29. “ We have combined two Country Music legends with our popular red dirt super stars to make this year’s entertainment lineup the strongest in history,” said Glenn Carlton, Executive Director of the Denton based North Texas Fair and Rodeo Association. Carlton went on to say, “Ronnie Milsap will be joining us on our first Saturday and The Charlie Daniels Band will be headlining our last day.” Carlton said the opening act on Friday, August 21 cannot be announced until August 2nd, but “it will be worth the wait to announce the biggest name in Texas Red Dirt music.”
Other main stage entertainment acts include Jake Hooker, Bleu Edmondson, Mike Ryan, Cody Johnson, Bobby Pulido and Josh Abbott. Many other well know Texas and regional acts will also take to the stage during the nine day event. Go to ntfair.com for a complete list of talent and schedule of concerts.
