Argyle Feed Store 2025 chick delivery dates begin in January and run through April. We’ve listed the dates and types below for your convenience. Please note that delivery dates can change for a few reasons: the delivery from the hatchery may be delayed, or the hatch can be lower than normal. Before you head over, please call us to confirm delivery dates.
Chicken Talk: What is a pullet? A ‘pullet’ is a young hen that is under 1 year of age and has not started laying eggs yet.
What does HC (Hatchery Choice) mean? Hatchery Choice simply means the hatchery will choose your assortment!
What does ST Run or SR (straight run) mean? A straight run is a random distribution of chicks. They have not been sexed to determine their gender. They are sold ‘as hatched’. This means you could end up with a combination of male and female chicks.
Remember your chick supplies! Your new brood will need heat lamps, starter chick feed, waterers, and feeders. Make sure you pick up your starter feed for your baby chicks. Have questions, we can help!
